Our Workshop Accessory range has now topped 100 different products; each designed to increase the versatility, productivity and accuracy of the small workshop. In addition, our range of Internal and External Combustion engines has grown to 15 unique designs.

On-Line Catalogue link problem?.... - Easily cured!
You may be having problems getting through to our on-line catalogue? We swapped "ISP's" a few weeks ago and it was not quite a seamless transition! Everything now works at our end but your PC may still be trying to launch the catalogue from a "cookie" stored on your machine. You can cure this by clicking the green "refresh" button at the top of your browser before pressing our on-line catalogue tag - everything should work now!?

Gallery Walk - Worth a "Butcher's" (Butcher's hook = Look!)
Please have a look at our Gallery Walk to see a few recent customer projects. We're always delighted to hear about any modifications you've included or build suggestions that you'd like to share.

New Products - An Avalanche
We have recently launched seven new workshop accessories, a classic IC engine of world renoun and our first stationary steam engine.

  • Its been a long time coming but we've finally managed to launch the first of our new range of External Combustion engines.

    Ransome & May Mill Engine - 1850

The Ransome & May Mill Engine was a small horizontal steam engine (9ft long with a 6ft flywheel....) sold globally in the 1850's. Producing 8nhp, the original would have powered local flour mills, breweries, laundries and small engineering works from here to Moscow. Interestingly, the average UK household needs a peak power supply of 7nhp (5kw) to accommodate all the 'essentials' of modern life! This is an accurate 1/12th scale replica of an early and elegant prime mover - just perfect for experimentation and exhibition.

  • Following months of secrecy, we are now able to announce that we have tracked down and acquire the patterns for L C Mason's classic Mastiff engine. We are still working on sourcing gears, rings and other assorted items to complete the material kit but castings, drawings and construction notes are now available on a 3 week lead time.

  • In 1973, Woking Precision Models (a Hemingway Kits company) acquired patterns and rights to the complete range of workshop accessories developed by G P Potts. Each of the items is ingeniously designed - offering genuine advantages to the small workshop owner. We are now happy to release Mr. Potts' Saw Table Attachment which we trust will be well received. Whenever your work involves the use of a slitting saw, this easily constructed item will prove to be invaluable.

  • Take a look at our new Quick-Set Face & Angle Plates. Like all the best innovations you have to ask "why did no one think of this before?". You'll be delighted with this investment - an end to the misery of faceplate work.

  • We can also recommend E T Westbury's Sawing & Filing Attachment. This item is a God-send for engine, loco and clock builders. Don't confuse this machine with the woodworkers scroll saw - unless you find one with a true vertical cutting action and 3/4hp on tap.

  • For the Myford Super 7 we've included a Swarf Guard Kit, providing a drawing and materials for 3 worthwhile improvements to the tailstock and leadscrew areas.

  • You'll also find a full material kit and fresh drawings for G H Thomas' Scribing Block and Rule Holder. We were amazed how much thought went into such a seemingly simple product. This item will let you mark out 27/32", accurate to 0.004", without a second thought!

  • Courtesy of Jim Whetren's recent work with the Worden Mk3 Tool & Cutter Grinder, we are now pleased to offer the Radius Grinding Attachment. This addition will allow you to include a tip radius on lathe tools to an exact dimension. An accurately cut 12tpi Whitworth thread needs a tip radius of 0.014" - child's play! Also from Jim, we've advanced to the 4-Facet Drill Grinding Jig Mk2. Providing some great advantages over its predecessor, it will also grind 4-Facet geometry onto countersinks and flat bottom drills.
